Timer at 0, Sites still blocked, Manual Stop not Working #457

I set the timer for blacklisted sites for 45 minutes and it worked great! The timer is up, but the sites are still blocked. It's been about 18 hours. I have tried manually stopping the block with no luck.

There is a prompt that says: The block was cleared successfully. You can find the log file, named SelfControl-Killer.log, in your Documents folder. If you're still having issues, please check out the SelfControl FAQ on GitHub.

However, no log file has been created.

I have tried changing the date and time on my computer with no success either.

I downloaded the old killer and tried that and it didn't work.

HELP. PLEASE.

Hi @haskew85 , sorry you've been having issues. Can you please try restarting your computer, disabling any special networking software you have (firewalls, VPNs, etc), and then opening SelfControl and manually stopping it again?

If that still doesn't work, please send me an email at charlie+gh457@charliestigler.com and I'll see if I can help. It would be best if you could include...

  1. SelfControl version
  2. macOS version
  3. How long you've been using SelfControl for
  4. When you started the problematic block
  5. When the block should have run out
  6. What you did to manually stop (did you use the in-app button or the separate Killer app)
  7. Which websites are still blocked
  8. Any log files you can dig up
