Whitelist/Blacklist toggle doesn't stick >> worst case scenario #497

Open doodoo787 opened 6 years ago

doodoo787 commented 6 years ago

I've used a blacklist in the past and just recently switched to a whitelist >> First time worked like a charm and I want to stick with the whitelist!!

However, when I want to use the whitelist again the toggle (whitelist/blacklist) has automatically switched back to black list (which I can't see, because that would only be visible when I'm in the blocklist menue).

So when I just hit START

Which is like: worst case scenario. Because I can't use the pages I need, I'm only distracted by the sites I don't want and that maybe for hours on end.

Help please?!? (other then remembering to check the blacklist/whitelist toggle each and every time I want to use selfcontrol)

=== Everytime I open Selfcontrol for a new sesseion, it will be in blacklist modus again. PLUS: I can't uninstall selfcontrol, even when the session is over!!!

Hello? HELP please!!!!!!!

It just happened again. It's SO frustrating 😭🤯

Hi @doodoo787, this does sound frustrating and like a bug. This has been reported by several people before.

SelfControl is maintained on a volunteer basis, and nobody has yet spent their time working on this issue. Hopefully, that will happen sometime in the future.

Thank you so much for your response! At least I know that it's not me. (although it's still like "($/()/$O everytime it happens 😳)
