X website isn't blocked, even though it's on my blocklist

This is a meta-issue to contain all of the cases where a specific website or service isn't blocked, but it should be (it's on your blocklist and a block is running). Please add all such problems as comments on this issue, instead of creating new bug reports for each website.

Debugging Steps Before Adding a Site To This List

1. Make sure you're on the latest version of SelfControl
2. Make sure the block is actually running (you open SelfControl and it shows a timer)
3. Make sure the requested site is actually on your blocklist and spelled correctly (click "View Blocklist" to make sure it's there)
4. Make sure you're not using a VPN or proxy - they are not compatible with SelfControl
5. Clear your browser cache, then restart your browser
6. If the site still isn't accessible, add it to this list

Summary (i.e. your situation)

Blocks generally work for me (websites are blocked properly), but this one specific website or service is still accessible. I'm on the latest version of SelfControl, double-checked that the site is on my blocklist, am not using a VPN/proxy, and have already tried clearing my browser cache. I've run multiple blocks and this behavior is consistent.

Any other notes, ideas, or comments? Probably a Safari setting since it does block on Chrome. Curiously, it also blocks web.whatsapp.com on both Chrome and Safari but not web.telegram.org on Safari.

How long have you noticed this issue? I first had this issue when I upgraded my Mac Catalina to Big Sur about a month ago. I was able to eventually get it to start working by uninstalling and reinstalling the App and restarting my computer. It then took like 10 minutes for it to actually start working. Yesterday I had to restart my computer and noticed that the block wasn't working correctly yet again. I tried doing what I did last time and the issue hasn't been fixed. It's been hours.

How long have you noticed this issue? Since downloading and using SelfControl over a year ago. The issue with this website is not intermittent. I have never been able to block this website while always being able to successfully block all others.

Any other notes, ideas, or comments? It works sometimes. If I follow all the instructions (restarting self control, resetting browser cache, restarting laptop etc), then Twitter does get blocked. However, the next block seems to be ineffective. In all it seems a bit inconsistent and that I would need to repeatedly follow the instructions / restart things to get it working (all other sites remain blocked)

How long have you noticed this issue? I just started using SelfControlApp today, and I noticed it immediately that it isn't blocking the website.

Any other notes, ideas, or comments? It blocks on Chrome but not Safari. Before I had SelfControlApp, I had the same issue when using nano /etc/hosts. It would block all the websites except for the two sites above, the blocking works on Chrome when I used nano /etc/hosts , and not on Safari.

I've followed all debugging procedures. I am using a blocklist.

I just noticed it today, I've had these on the list in a while, but I haven't opened any of them in a while, it's just when I revisited one did it reopen, and I found it odd, so I searched the web and read other issues, and noticed that people were having this issue and it was reported on GitHub, so I thought I would check other sites, and I had this list of sites that SelfControl didn't block.

Hey, I'm facing a different problem. Sites that are not on the blocklist are being blocked. I'm not entirely sure why, but For eg these two sites don't load, even though they're not the blocklist:
