After discussion with @atterebf, the best option would be to have a generic "fictional event" (that I would call Abstract Event), that would be typed with the appropriate kind of event (here "Birth"). The participation of Abstract Individuals in this fictional event would be through a propositional object, I suggest a Abstract Participation class, that would also be typed.
Here is the proposition diagram:
In the LIMC project, depictions of mythological figures in Ancient Art are documented. For this endeavor, a database of mythological figures (such as gods and heroes) has been created which documents the various names of those figures as well as their genealogy (who are the parents) and its attestation in the literature. The obvious class for mythological figures is sdh:C32 Abstract individual.
The genealogy (parents) of this figure is a propositional object, stated by an actor in a source. My proposition would be the creation of a Proposition (or Abstract?) Birth, with links to both parents.
I wonder if the properties (from father, from mother) are always applicable, or if we would need something non-gendered (when it's objects or other phenomena that give birth to an abstract individual). The LIMC data only documents the mother and father.
