[eventcalendar] Queries generate behavioural and display defects

Setup

• MW version: 1.37.2
• DB (MySQL etc.): 10.1.48-MariaDB
• PHP version: 7.4.27
• SMW version: 4.0.1
• SRF version: 4.0.1
• Browsers and versions (if applicable): Firefox 99.0 (64 bits)

Issue

Queries with eventcalendar format:

• force the user to click on "pane view" to see the result (even if the option to enable the pane view is selected in the user options)
• display curious labels
• clicking on the Refresh button displays a spinning icon indefinitely.

Steps to reproduce
