Does this happen consistently? Can you test for us now?
Can you log out and see if it asks for your country when you try to sign in again?
it has never asked for my ip address not sure what you mean
it was just not geting the country codes right... for the Nigerians who were signing up here
there are some basic things around sign up and sign in taht i have been trying to get right for months now i am not sure why we can t just get them right so we can move ahead
sign up and sign in are - the most critical steps in using the application and our users being in different countries need a seamless local experience
any updates here
This should be fixed. I'll try to sign up some persons tomorrow to confirm. Will appreciate if everyone else can help testing this.
Works correctly for me in the US.
Android 3.13 is defaulting to UK for me though I am in Canada
when i sign up for a new account in Spain using my wifi the system still doesnt know my country?
we should always set by default to the country of the users location first and foremost taken from wireless ip
and then let them override.... this needs to work well via wifi and via mobile carrier when using data
