All I found out is that the antivirus (this is specifically Windows Defender) swears at the file that is downloaded when installing the extension, which is most interesting, if the extension was installed earlier, then it does not swear at the extension as a virus. I also noticed that he doesn't swear at the new version of the extension. Therefore, I have sent a new version for publication and am waiting for Google to approve it.
I suggest you manually install the new version of the extension. mdfmiljoheedihbcfiifopgmlcincadd_main.zip you need to unpack the archive first (GitHub does not allow you to upload crx files directly here) and then install the extension according to this instruction
If you are worried about security (if you really think it's a virus), then either wait for the publication of a new version of the extension or do not install it at all 😩
