Some vanilla minecraft items not showing up in JEI search? (4.14) #5

For some reason, some but not all of our players on our server are just... Not Seeing e.g. Iron Ingot when we search JEI. It's clearly available, as you can go to other items and then find it, but only the advancement for smelting an iron ingot is showing up in our lists when searching.

it appears to be affecting a small handful of resources. Iron and gold ore are still there, but not their ingots. Raw Iron Blocks are visible but the normal item raw iron is not... Very strange.

I've been unable to replicate this issue, as these both appear for me in JEI. Maybe clear any caches or configs for JEI?

On the server, did you happen to use a pack last that disables certain things in a sort of progression? As it's possible that it's carrying over. Only thing I can really suggest is to launch the server without JEI, remove anything related to in (configs usually) then relaunch it with JEI.

Could be that Seren has another solution so watch this space incase he has one 😄

Please ensure that all players on the server remove their JEI configs first though, this sounds like a client side issue

The only pack that was 'last' used on the server was 4.13 Worldy Galaxies. It may be a quirk of how our modloaders update the packs? (Some folks are running ATLauncher and some, like I am, are running GDLauncher.) Step 0 of my testing is trying to tell GDLauncher to update the pack again and check if the problem persists. (It does!) Step 1 will be to clear configs on my client's instance, and then attempt to re-install the pack at 4.14. Especially since it does seem to be a client-side, if only some players are having the problem. (Step 1.5, I'll also try just deleting the config and NOT attempting to re-install the pack to let the config attempt to generate naturally? I can't even remember if that's a thing...)

Conclusion: Deleting the config folder for JEI and then reinstalling 4.14 did not fix it. Deleting the config folder for JEI and NOT reinstalling 4.14 also did not fix it.

Will be clearing the JEI config on the server when I have the opportunity. (Also attempting to investigate what a 'cache' is in this context, I am only able to find the configs in the config folder.)
