GNU Guile is broken #19848

This issue exists to inform @petelliott of the fact that our Guile port is broken since April, and I think you should know about it because you are the one who ported it. :)

would fixing the build for users with the right version of guile installed count for closing this issue, or is requiring guile to cross compile a big problem?

Ideally we shouldn't require that the user already has it installed on the host. Yes, if it can be avoided we should probably do that.
