Internationalization: German address labels #540

Currently, the address labels are as follows:

I would recommend changing "Staat" (state) to "Land" (country). Using "Land" to express that you are looking for a "country" is more common in the context of addresses than the word "Staat".

For reference, check out online postal service websites such as this (scroll down to "Absender").

Also, I think changing the last line's label of the form from "Adresse" to something like "Straße und Hausnr." ("street number and name", with "number" - "Nummer" - being abbreviated to "nr.") might also make sense. The word "Adresse" is usually only used to describe a full(y qualifying) address for a location, but not for an address component afaik.

Join, enter into correspondence with Christian Bettinger (cbettinger) and decide together. This is entirely your question. If I interfere with how native speakers translate terms, nothing good will happen.

The label in the tab and the label at the bottom input field are the same line. Until I enter a separate line, it’s unlikely to be done with the address as you want.

Regarding the word "country", I personally still find the german translation "Staat" better than "Land". Wikipedia says that "Land" is merely a colloquial or non-technical variant of the correct word "Staat". But as always, there are of course also counterexamples ;-) Therefore I changed the translation to "Land".

I also translated the label for the last input field with "Straße & Hausnr.".
