I would like to migrate content from another local knowledge management software to Obsidian, but the articles and images I copied are not being synchronized and migrated over, they remain in the original directory. Can you help me with this?

I think this happens with any locally running application. Pictures from MS Word don't copy and paste on MacOS. I don't think this is a surprise. (I wish it did work).

Guys, this plugin has been tested on MS Word/ Libre Office. I use Linux and it works in most cases. I do not have Mac OS though, so I can not say how it works on it now.
