mDesktop 1.5 on multi-core system: switch between desktops fails #133

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Start several computationaly intensive processes on several CPUs in virtual
desktop 1.
2. Switch to virtual desktop 2 using CTRL-LeftArrow or tray application.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expected output is a move to desktop 2 with all open applications in desktop
available for use. However, switch appears to be successful (in tray
application, desktop 2 is highlighted) but open windows in desktop 2 are not
visible. Moving back to desktop 1 does not work. mDesktop appears to hang
i.e. CTRL-LeftArrow or CTRL-RightArrow have no effect.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

mDesktop 1.5 with Windows 7 SP1. Processor Intel i7 950 3GHz 4 cores (8
threads)

Please provide any additional information below.

The problem arises when I run several Matlab processes in parallel and I would
like to switch from desktop 1 to desktop 2 for other work. The switch does not
work because all open windows in desktop 2 disappear until Matlab processes are
completed. This problem does not exist with Desktops application available in
SysInternalsSuite.

Apart from this issue a really great program. I look forward to a new version.

Got a similar issue:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Run a computational heavy procedure on one of the Desktops.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The actual switching works after a long waiting period, but whole progams
disappesr whilst still runnning in the background (TaskManager reveals this).

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
mDesktop 1.6 Beta 2 in Windows7 Enterprise 64-bit SP1

Please provide any additional information below.
I use R to handle large amounts of data and the processes use a lot of CPU
power and RAM.

Would be great if this problem could be fixed in the next release, but besides,
love the program!
