ability to disable 'previous or next desktop' hotkeys

Although I really like the ability to switch to the next or previous desktop, 
the current options for doing so are also key combinations frequently used in 
navigating text widows etc...

Something other than cntrl alt or shift needs to be added as an option (perhaps 
a combination of two of them) or just a check box to turn off this hot key.

I don't like having to close mdesktop when I'm doing some things just to be 
more efficient in the editing of text.
