Visual studio freezes while debugging OpenGL applicaiton

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start debugging OpenGL application in visual studio and hit a breakpoint
2. change desktop to another
3. try to switch to any other 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
To be able to switch back to original desktop.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v1.6, windows 7

Please provide any additional information below.

Debugger from visual studio somehow blocks mdesktop client. If visual studio is 
killed in Task Manager, mdesktop works again. If in "freeze" state and mdesktop 
settings is opened from tray, app has very slow response and win 7 even display 
message about not responding app, however after a while UI is redraw.
