It would be great if the program had an option to have a different background 
on each desktop - to tell them apart easily.

And, btw, congrats on such a wonderful program!

More than just a bump,

This would be a Great way to tell which desktop you're actually on.

(I duplicate common icons like recycling bin, firefox, etc, so they look 
similar)

There's an additional utility to this for the most anal-retentive of us. I'm 
experimenting with using my desktop background to illustrate workflow paths, 
and this would broaden my options to have specialized, visually clean work 
areas.
