The Genki I Lesson 2 Grammar 4 Using だれの Workbook page has some errors which are probably code related. Link: https://sethclydesdale.github.io/genki-study-resources/lessons/lesson-2/workbook-4/

Genki I Lesson 2 Workbook Who Practice

Hello @kybuck!

Everything appears to be normal on my end. Do you perhaps have an add-on installed that is auto-translating the page? That could most likely be the cause for duplicated texts and other anomalies.

I do have a translation program, but it is not automatic or active. I have to turn it on and I don't have it turned on at present. But just in case, I deleted the add-on extension and the errors on the page remained. Additionally I don't think a translation program would translate the statements in English into nonsense like "Michiko: That's my life." And last, it is only the bottom half of this page that is doing this. No other pages are affected, that I can see.

Would it be possible for you to check with others to see if they are seeing what is showing up in the screenshot I posted? FYI - I have used this particular page previously and there was not a problem. I only noticed the issue a few weeks ago. I thought it might be a temporary glitch, but it has persisted.

I performed a few tests on windows and linux using both Chrome and Firefox, and everything appears to be in order. It is a little odd, but just to make sure, try using a different browser or device to see if the issue persists.

I think I resolved my issue. I tried Edge and everything was fine, so I checked Chrome again, and although I deleted the Google Translate extension, it was still showing up in my Chrome URL window as an option and it was set to "Always translate to English". When I turn that off, everything goes back to normal. I'm sorry to have bothered you with this. Thank you for forcing me to examine other possibilities. I could have been obsessing over this for weeks!
