The 1.18.0 client comes with spyware. 99% of the features in the 1.18.X series are present in 1.17.X. There is no reason to not allow 1.17.X clients to connect to the server, when it is on 1.18.2.

We might actually be able to only allow clients of version 1.17.1 to connect, which would avoid the telemetry issue altogether until 1.19.X. This would allow us to move #177 to the 1.19 milestone instead.
