+1 on Reddit

Big +1 on this, should be moved up.

Hello everyone, I joined because I would really like to contribute to make this the only personal "life" manager ever needed. This is important to me because so far, although there are so many different options to choose from, I haven’t come across the one app that ticks all my boxes (oh..). What I'm looking for is an App with the following features: Todolists & calendar event integration (from all calendar sources, be it google, apple or exchange) combined in a single view for the upcoming week / month and for the current day. The App would pull events from calendars and recreate them in the app as to-dos with the time of the event being registered as the due date/time. Vice versa, tasks created with a due date/time and duration in the app should sync as events back to the calendar. Tasks without a date /time should be synced as all-day events to the calendar, while all day events from the calendar should be recreated as tasks in the app without a due date. I come from years of bullet-journaling which gives me all the customization I need to display things the way I want, but the cons are obvious. It is on paper, it’s not synced, it’s messy to move or edit stuff once it’s written down… etc. It worked well enough for me but I am looking for a more elegant and digital solution. Coincidentally. I compiled some research on the possibilities for the work I do which you can read here: Microsoft Outlook (mobile) & Microsoft Todo • Surprisingly, no syncing between both apps • Outlook integrated tasks not available on IOS Version • TODO shows all open tasks and does not feature filters based on day, upcoming week, or month Any.do Pro • Integrates Calendar and task management Con • Only syncs to local Ipad Calendar OR Apple ID Calendar. Todoist + Google Calendar integration Pro • Seamless automatic two-way integration of calendar events & tasks in both apps • Todoist for day to day / weekly management • Calendar for long term planning Con • Todoist free features sufficient, but deeper customization requires a premium subscription (from 3€/month) Notion • All the customization you would ever need, but no automatic calendar sync of events into databases or todo-lists without external automator scripts that cost money and are not available for all calendar systems / platforms. • Works well if managed manually, but tedious and not user-friendly for the non-tech savvy individual. I personally use Notion for everything right now, it is one of the most useful pieces of software I have discovered in recent years and well worth the subscription if you use it for everything it has to offer. Task management the way I envision it however is only possible through tedious manual management of a weekly template page (See Marie Poulain’s Youtube videos on that matter). I have been using my personal variation of her system for a few months and am quite pleased with it, it is however more complicated than necessary and I can’t be the only one looking for a more elegant solution. The only available solution that comes very close close to what I want is the Todoist + Google Calendar integration combination. It is exactly what I envision, but todoist costs money if you want to delve deeper into customization and it only works with google calendar. I would at least need Exchange Calendar integration so that I can combine personal and work calendars in one view. More often than not, in your daily and weekly planning, work and personal life overlap and are dependent on each other. Through the Reddit AMA I stumbled onto this project and after a first look, it looks like the perfect basis for trying to find my unicorn. A quick search on discord revealed that calendar integration is in the works or at least being discussed, so I wanted to chime in with my Ideas and experience using many project management systems over the years. Like I said, todoist + google calendar is almost there, and I would be glad to help wherever I can to make it happen here first :)

Hi there, I was the guy making this feature request originally on discord. Any news on calendar integration?

Best, Angroid

Hey @Angroid! Thanks for asking. Our 1.0 release has a calendar view for your tasks!

However, we have yet to integrate a calendar into Condution. However, we probably should be able to take a calendar link. Stay tuned! This (may) be a 1.0 feature coming.

Is importing from .ics file covered in this ticket?

Thanks a lot for Condution.
