I have touched quite a lot of the script and wanted to try to get it upstream. I wanted to allow the script to be executed multiple times in a row to install specific components, one after the other.
The most prominent changes are
only download files on demand
optionally (re-)install config files
disable some defaults like the installation of the ppa and sakura
I also could not get the modeswitch to install on ubuntu 19.10, so I disabled it on default. This needs a separate issue.
