Respawn at save location? #12

Hi. Trying to enjoy "Link to the Past" / "Triforce of gods" on my AnaloguePocket ...aka no save states.

Have you considered ...but perhabs failed due to difficulty... implementing respawning from where the save is created? (It's just no fun to me that I have to start from the house / pyramid every time 🤧)

Nice AnaloguePocket! It might be feasible, but I'll have to check if something like that already exists on Zeldix or some other place, since I am personally not working on ALttP at the moment to debug new stuff, but would be nice to have.

Understood. Thank you so far...

FYI: I have checked all of romhacking.com and was unable to find any hack that modifies how saving works.

Ah yes, Romhacking is a place for romhacks in general, but is not that good for centralised franchises. Once you delve deeper into romhacking you start to bump into websites that are more specific to certain games or franchises, and Zeldix.net is just that for ALttP. Maybe searching there could give some results

Zeldix.net

I did have an extensive look, most hacks are actually on romhacking.com.

I did look through all the patches, none mentioning anything about "saving"... https://www.zeldix.net/f30-patches

* I do assume this is a _newer problem_ since _normally_ people just use _save states_ ...which are NOT available on the AnaloguePocket's SNES core

I'm afraid what you are asking for is not possible in the snes version of ALttP but only in the gba remake version of it where it may be possible to resume or "respawn" from the exact place where the game was saved in the remake
