Cane of Somalia softlock? #22

I don't know how, but when I went to Misery Mire to get the Cane of Somalia, I got the Red Tunic instead (I already had the blue tunic)? Help??? I think I'm softlocked. I can't find anything online about this. Any way to fix so I don't have to replay the whole game to progress?

Platform: Ares emulator, CachyOS Linux

Patched with: flips

Patch applied: Retranslation Redux

Checked correct SHA1 pre-patching: Yes

Version of patch: latest

I fixed it!! for posterity here's what to do:

Apply codes 7EF350:01 and 7EF35B:01 to Ares cheat tab at the Misery Mire stage (and reset the game). When I get to Ganon's Castle I'll probably update this with what happened, but probably you need to disable the last cheat code.

Was this caused by a cheat code? I have done entire playthroughs of Redux and never had this happen to me, neither have I gotten any reported about that. If you happen to know what might have triggered, please let me know.

@ShadowOne333 no, I had no cheats active prior to the glitch.

Maybe it was because I used my Linux distro's flips instead of the one you make available at the repo? I don't know, I'm lost as to what could have caused it.

Edit: maybe a regression in the latest code? As I used the Retranslation patch straight from Github

Probably a regression, yeah, or probably a compatibility issue when switching versions that caused a save glitch of sorts.
