Export an Excel table to SharePoint: gallery view layout not available #8811

Describe the bug / error

The following instructions explain how to export an Excel table to SharePoint as a new SharePoint List:

After performing such operation, it's not possible to create a new gallery view even though the modal prompt visually allow to select this specific layout. Here is an animated preview (open it in new window for better quality):

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open an Excel table containing some columns (text, number, currency, date and time)
  2. Export as a List to a SharePoint site by following the instructions available here: https://support.microsoft.com/office/export-an-excel-table-to-sharepoint-974544f9-94bc-4aa8-9159-97282d256dab
  3. Create e new gallery view as explained in the official instructions: https://support.microsoft.com/office/create-change-or-delete-a-view-of-a-list-or-library-27ae65b8-bc5b-4949-b29b-4ee87144a9c9

Expected behavior

The expected behaviour is the creation of a new view with a gallery layout, after explicitly selecting this option through the OOTB modal prompt of a SharePoint List, as shown in the animated preview below (open it in new window for better quality):
