Unfortunately your site provisioning at least partially failed #696

Describe the issue When trying to provision a site, using a Global Admin account, from SharePoint lookbooks (https://lookbook.microsoft.com/) we receive "Unfortunately your site provisioning at least partially failed!".

The site is provisioned but the template fails to apply.

This is in regards to creating a site called "CE Portal" with a uri of 'CEPortal' (Though we have tried other test names with the exact same result).

Expected behavior Provisioning of the SharePoint Lookbook will auto provision the site with the template.

@PaoloPia , Is this the correct forum to post these issues. Can you assist?

Hi, Thanks for using the Look Book site. Based on the event log, we can see that you targeted an already existing site. Could you please try to provision the solution to a different site URL? In case of any issue, please create another item and provide the corresponding Correlation ID for further investigation. Thanks for your cooperation.

Thank you Paolo.

I've found that we are not targeting an existing site. Even if it is a brand new site, that template will fail. Could you look into this further?

Hi @OnlineIS, I investigated your issue again and we realized that there were few settings that were missing in the template definition. Now, you can try it again and you can specify the URL of all of the three sites that get provisioned by the template. Please, provide not existing URLs and you should be fine. I just tested it in one of my demo tenants and it worked as expected. Thanks.

Thanks Paolo. That is a great change and we realize that one of the sites connected to the hub site actually did exist (a little embarrassed). It was /sites/RetailOperations that was created in a previous provisioning. But now that you allow us to rename all the sites that are in the template during provisioning, it helps us a lot. I am sure this will help others using lookbook in the future.
