Update not properly working #7398

Since a month or something, I am stuck at Version 15.0.0

Whenever I start my PC, an ShareX Window pops up and shows that a new Update is available. I press 'download' every time, and then it switches to the newest version. But only for the duration where the PC is on. When I shut down my PC and start him up the next day, I get the notification again, and I'm back to version 15.0.0 needing to download the 'new' version.

Is there any way to fix it? I already tried to uninstall ShareX and install the newest Version from the website, doesn't work either.

@pqul161 Then you're not uninstalling it. You should uninstall all versions (in case there are multiple left) and reboot computer to check if they don't run. Then install new one from the website.

There are multiple ways to find program install location. In that

In task manager (Processes or Startup apps): image

In search: image

As shortcut image

To uninstall run uninstaller instead of deleting files manually image

Also search for ShareX in here image image
