ShareX is a free and open source program that lets you capture or record any area of your screen and share it with a single press of a key. It also allows uploading images, text or other types of files to many supported destinations you can choose from.
Have ShareX trigger random lengths recordings at random times based upon specific audio signals.
For example, when the PC plays the "Switch On" audio signal, ShareX starts a recording.
Then after some random time interval elapses, the computer plays the "Switch Off"
audio signal and ShareX stops the recording.
ShareX would simply "listen all day long to" the computer for the said audio signals,
and auto start and stop recordings (for example for a 10 hours period,
ShareX would record at random times between 10 and 200 clips based on
the audio alerts it hears from the computer).
I looked at this Reddit related AHK macro suggestion but I'm not sure how this could work with ShareX.
Could this feature be implemented?
