Scrolling screenshot does not work correctly #7424

Hi.

When you try to take a scrolling screenshot, you only scroll one step. For example, other applications - Faststone capture, pickpick - take such screenshots correctly.

I am attaching a video.

I also have the same problem

Jaex commented 2 weeks ago

It fails because of this: https://getsharex.com/docs/scrolling-screenshot#static-elements

I don't know how other screen capture apps manage to do it.

If other applications - Faststone capture, pickpick can do this, then it can be implemented in ShareX.

I'm telling that I don't know how to implement it, and you telling me back that it can be implemented...

Feel free to use those applications then. Jaex's only motivation to work on ShareX is that ShareX is a popular program, he likes working on it, and the little bit of financial support he gets from the Github sponsors.

When ungrateful people like you show up in the issues page and complain about something that Jaex has continously mentioned that he doesn't know how to fix, and get mad at him without providing any support or directions for him, it does nothing but ruin what motivation an app developer might have in their project.

Instead of being a karen and yelling at a solo dev for not knowing how to implement something due to technical difficulties, try being grateful for what Jaex was able to make, and maybe take a look at the page he linked to try and make it work.
