Investigate alternative interfaces for photograph exploration

We now have a decently navigable interface for image exploration for our users, how can we improve this? Areas to consider include:

• "layers" of attributes
• multiple styles of renderings of photographs

When thinking about this, also worth considering how best to integrate new preprocessor capabilities including OCR, since it may have an impact on interaction?
