[x] Change the main code for cross-platform compatibility
[x] Automate the build process of extension for Safari from Chrome build and saving an archive file using GitHub actions.
[x] Conduct thorough testing of the mobile client to identify any bugs or issues that may impact its functionality or user experience.
[x] Build the extension for testing and deploy to testflight
[x] Build the extension in the correct format for deployment via McGIll IT
[x] test VoiceOver compatibility
[x] Document process so others can debug and run the entire process of creating and deploying the extension for iOS

@21satvik based on what we know now, we won't be able to fully complete this due to background script not being approved for released iOS extensions. However, this can be closed once the above items are checked off, since then someone who has xcode will be able to build and install the iOS extension onto their local phone, and we should have a working Safari extension as well.

Please also make sure to log the remaining issues as separate work items, so that we know what still remains when we pick this up again later.

After discussion this morning:

extend the current automated build to as many steps as feasible
update Safari.md to be clear about what artifact is generated, what it is for, and why it can't be directly installed on iOS or OSX
Don't log new work items for outstanding iOS/OSX Safari issues, they are clearly in Safari.md, and can be logged when we return to this.

After these are resolved, this work item can be closed.

I think everything is completed - thanks much!!! Unless @jaydeepsingh25 has any objections or can think of anything else crucial, I think this can be closed!
