1.16.5 version is incompatible with java 8 #10

I've seen this error on another mod. I can't use the mod because it says I have to use java 16 or something.

Minecraft 1.15 and below require java 8, and can be compatible with newer versions, Minecraft 1.16 requires java 16+, Minecraft 1.17 requires java 17+ This is a vanilla Minecraft requirement, 1.16 will not launch using java 8
