I have noticed that when I shut down or reboot the Steamdeck, Steam will close, and for the hardware to shutdown (I can hear the fan and the backlight is still on) anywhere from 30 to 45 seconds.
I found numerous threads talking about SSD trimming. I had ran storage maintenance several times with no resolution. I ensure there was nothing pending in the desktop environment.
In an effort to determine if this was OS related or not, I ran a factory reset. I found that prior to installing CheatDeck, I had not issues shutting down.
Factory reset, once reconfigured, I could shut down with no issue
I installed Deckyloader, I could shut down no issue
I installed CheatDeck, it took 30 to 45 seconds to shut down
To be as thorough as possible, I formatted the SD card, removed it, ran a image from the recovery image. After that, I had the exact same behavior.
I then removed CheatDeck, and it shuts down as expected.
Note: I only have CheckDeck installed, no other mods.
Has anyone seen this before?
