installed mod, starbound crashes #105

to install this mod, I did, in the following order: download zip, move it into mods folder extract files into mods folder delete zip

now whenever I run starbound, it crashes. any way I can fix this?

Try installing a character extender like xbawks

just tried that, still crashing. I got xbawks on steam, should I get it somewhere else?

Can you go to the storage folder and post your Starbound.Log

I have 5 starbound.logs, which one should I post?

Can you try deleting the old ssvm folder and unzipping it again, make sure the _Metadata file and everything in the same folder is just inside the mods folder like /mods/simplestarboundvoremod/_metadata

I tested xbawks on its own, and it doesn't look like that is working either. it gives me the default char selection screen, without any of the extra boxes. I did the same for it that I did for bb.

okay nvm got xbawks working. still trying on bb tho.

Wierd, the log says xbawks was recognized but it couldn't tell what ssvm was, you can use the steam workshop versions just fine, I usually do. I just noticed the mod folder loads before the workshop folder, though it doesn't matter much as long as dependencies are fulfilled

I got it working! in the end, I put both the steam and non-steam versions of xbawks in, not sure which one worked. I ran the game, then re-extracted and put the bb folder back in. Thanks for all the help!
