I have it now saved in the mod folder on the starbound folder itself. As soon as I open starbound however the game closes

did you unzip it? if you did then what mods did you install besides SSVM, and if you bypass steam for launch starbound some steam mods will cause a crash cause of the way steam installs them. if you provide the log file at /starbound/storage/starbound.log we could see what's wrong.

No other mods, The file is unzipped and I just try to open the game from steam

So, is it not possible to have the simple vore mod, and mods from workshop? Because I have the Avali and Sergal race mods from Workshop, and every time I open the game it closes too.

Please provide your starbound.log file to me. I will examine your issue.

you need to update, SSVM 7.0 does not work on starbound 1.0, grab the newest release from the releases page quick link to it : https://github.com/Sheights/StarboundSimpleVoreMod/releases/tag/v8.0.3

Having this same issue. The game closes after a string of errors about double defined people and missing liquid. The last one is so. [15:13:10.385] [Error] Application: exception thrown, shutting down: (StatusEffectDatabaseException) Duplicate stat effect named 'stomachacid', config file '/stats/stomachacid/stomachacid.statuseffect'

Nevermind, I found it. Somehow, fuck if I know how from fresh install: I had mod files in the core files. Probably extracted it one day without meaning to.
