Good point. It's there because you used to be able to roll to other rolls than just your personal roll, but now there's only one destination. I think it actually does make sense to remove this from the personal roll until such time as we have other rolling destinations.
Perhaps we would predict that the next thing a person wanted to do once it was on their roll was share it, and so on the personal roll, the roll button would be replaced by a Share button? Thoughts anyone?
Buttons should behave like real life objects.... disabled is fine, leaving there is fine (users can just ignore), but changing what a button does is unexpected == bad UX.
possible use case in personal roll: re-rolling a good video you rolled months ago (same way you can re-tweet your own re-tweet or another's tweet when viewing your tweets)
Interesting feedback from a friend who asked why the roll buttons were still appearing on videos he had already rolled.
