Multiple folks have been left hanging on the /authentications/do_merge route. The merge always seems to end up working correctly, but the experience is poor.
I think we can background most of the merging (via EM), only blocking the user during the critical phases (moving authentications). Need to plan out the UX and messaging, but this rather is straightforward.
