The 'Original' Bug

[The team marked this bug as a duplicate of the following bug]

No mass mark rooms clean feature

image.png

There are commands that marks all rooms as unclean. However, no such commands is available to mark rooms as cleaned. The current option is to edit each entry 1 by 1 and mark them as cleaned. Considering that a hotel can have hundreds or even thousands of rooms, even spending a few seconds to do so for every room would not only be time-conusming, but tedious.

Due to the huge impracticality of this, as a user, I classify this as a medium flaw as this has very real inconvenience to me as a user.

Their Response to the 'Original' Bug

[This is the team's response to the above 'original' bug]

The current option is to edit each entry 1 by 1 and mark them as clean is a feature to help fine-tune to edit the room clean status only after the specific room is cleaned.

We feel that this is not a bug, as it is not intentional for a user to mark all the rooms as clean there should not be a situation where the user would need to mark all the rooms as clean at once, as they would be cleaning the rooms at different times throughout the day depending on the guest. Moreover, it is quite unlikely that we would have thousands of rooms as we are targeting small hotels, and thus the time consumption would be rather minimal. Moreover, adding such a feature can expose problems to our users as they might accidentally type a command to mark all rooms as clean, especially if the command is similar to marking all rooms as unclean, and risk losing the cleaning progress for the day. On the other hand, marking rooms as unclean is quintessential and immensely useful for our users, as they would usually need to do so before the next working day. Hence, we decided to not include a feature to mark all rooms as clean, but we included a feature to mark all rooms as uncleaned.
