The Ultimate Dodge Stuck on the spot but still played the animation. #157

Open riskirills66 opened 4 years ago

riskirills66 commented 4 years ago

I was wondering if this is the problem that occurs because i have another mod/animation that conflicts with it. But i try to reinstall MO new profile and use only TUDM and Nemesis. Weird the problem still occurs, so i conclude(is that even a word) that nemesis is the problem(right really, it's in beta) but i believe there's a way to fix this. i saw release note in some version that this issue already fixed, but why I still have it? i am using the latest version.

ShikyoKira commented 4 years ago

left panel mod priority issue. Have Nemesis' output place at the lowest so that the generation overwrites anything

riskirills66 commented 4 years ago

generation is in the overwrite folder. I am sure that doesn't get overwritten by other mods. anyway, did I mention that my MO panel only has nemesis and TUDM?

ShikyoKira commented 4 years ago

send me your "animationdatasinglefile.txt" located in data/nemesis_engine/temp_behaviors, and the other 1 located in data/meshes

riskirills66 commented 4 years ago

animationdatasinglefile.txt

here.

riskirills66 commented 4 years ago

I swear if this problem fixes, nemesis is complete for me and I will never install FNIS again. huft... it'll worth waiting.

ShikyoKira commented 4 years ago

erm.. where's the other file located in data/meshes?

ShikyoKira commented 4 years ago

I will never install FNIS again. huft...

been doing that since 2 years ago.. hahaha

Thor-axetheImpaler commented 4 years ago

I had an issue where my animation would freeze midway, before any movement had taken place. I had recently uninstalled TKDodge and on that same playthrough was getting the issue. I fixed it by using the console command "stopquest aaaTKDodgeQuest". I did this before uninstalling, but even when I put in the command again and got the return that it didn't find such a quest, it still fixed my issue.

EDIT: To be clear, I basically JUST installed Nemesis and TUDM to see if I liked it more than TKDodge. Obviously in the long term I'm going to need fresh starts.

ShikyoKira commented 4 years ago

oh i got another report and after testing with him, we suspect it might be the work of an SKSE plugin, as far as i know, the insertAttackData.dll from UC does that, so perhaps there might be other mod does the same thing. Do check it out

riskirills66 commented 4 years ago

erm.. where's the other file located in data/meshes?

there's no file in the data/meshes except in subfolders. (in the overwrite folder)

are you talking about TUDM/Nemesis left panel folder, or Overwrite folder?

Just in case you asked for the files that not in the overwrite folders. These are from TUDM Left Panel Mod Folder: animationsetdatasinglefile.txt animationdatasinglefile.txt

And these are from Nemesis Folder nemesis_animationdatasinglefile.txt nemesis_animationsetdatasinglefile.txt

ShikyoKira commented 4 years ago

yup. Definitely a sign of missing data. Perhaps it got overwrite by a skse plugin

Try install this manually, in the data folder, and then run skyrim not through MO. Just to test whether you will face the same issue. Once you are in the main menu, type coc qasmoke to go to a testing room and test the animation again. This works for the other person, and once he reverted back to MO, weirdly the problem is gone. Maybe this will help fix your problem as well

riskirills66 commented 4 years ago

no luck. went to the testing room and go back to Whiterun to test it again. not working. not just dodge is stuck on the spot, but also forward/backwards/side attack power are stuck. I want to try to reinstall Skyrim and want to see how's gonna work.

riskirills66 commented 4 years ago

i believe this problem because animationdatasinglefile.txt is not generated. i search similar problems with dodge (TK dodge have same this problem too, but not with Nemesis). and it's because animationdatasinglefile.txt is not generated, they say it's because mod organizer prevents that. but if my MO also prevents generating animationdatasinglefile.txt why when i try without MO the problem still happens? is it because of Nemesis itself?

Extingale commented 4 years ago

I was looking for some fixes and the exact same problem happens with TK Dodge. For that one they (those who had this problem with fnis before) suggested running skse as an administrator, and I thought we might have been stupid for not thinking of that before, but that didn't fix it. :/

ShikyoKira commented 4 years ago

ok, i got another possible solution to this. I just remembered that not long ago, me and my testers had the same problem. It turned out to be an skse plugin causing the issue, specifically insertAttackData.dll from UC and TK dodge. We fix the dodge in place bug by remove/hide this plugin. I suggest you give it a try with a empty load order only with essential mods. If that doesn't work, try install Nemesis and TUDM manually and test it. To uninstall them, remove all the files from data folder except those bsa files. Those bsa files are the only vanilla files, the rest are added later on

I am sorry, I know you must be so busy to keep replying to all issues and troubleshooting at them. but you already suggest to me this way, and I also did try your suggestion still the problem exists.

Let me say this for a simple explanation, Nemesis Engine didn't generate animationdatasinglefile.txt even I try without MO2 and SKSE (i try with a fresh install of Skyrim) the problem still exists.

No SKSE, No MO. Just Vanilla Skyrim, TUDM and NEMESIS.

The engine is also running smoothly, with no problem and no warning. It's just that movement data from animationdatasinglefile.txt is not generated.

I also mentioned that before. No animationdatasinglefile.txt in overwrite folder.

xFrosty7 commented 4 years ago

does anybody know how to fix this issue at all???

riskirills66 commented 4 years ago

If you replace txt file from single mod. The other mods will still broken. They need to be combined, that's why nemesis engine is important.

GUYS I found A SOLUTION.

  1. Install all your animation mods 2.Run Nemesis as usual, click on CGO patch, etc 3.Install your CGO once again and let it overwrite animationdatasinglefile.txt, which is 1.8 mb or so (MO users like me might wanna do that in OVERWRITE folder, can you believe, install CGO there and g0!)
  2. FOR those who have DODGE animation broken, might have not noticed that sprinted power attack IS STUCK like dodge too. IT FIXES EVEN THAT

for example, Combat Behavior Compulsion will not force your character to move forward, and every attack including a power attack will be stuck on the same spot. because the animation from Combat Behaviro Compulsion requires animation movement data that recorded inside that animationdatasinglefile.txt.

Well, if you really think that will fix it, then you should try with other mods, and combine it like the Engine Should done it.

What other mods (that have behaviors) you have right now?

I am curious because you say you fixed it by replacing animationdatasinglefile.txt and fixing that bug is not that simple.

I have tested on dummy new game, without SKSE, with it, the problems keeps being EVEN IN NEW PLAYTROUGH, What I am saying us to replace only txt, other mods will work too. What do you mean break? Like tpose and stuff? Nothing of that. Try it for yourself

so you found a bug? no wonder, as i expected.

Simonuell commented 4 years ago

@riskirills66 Does replacing the texts files from Nemesis folder to meshes fixes the bug? Or is it doing nothing? Like some say that that its Nemesis bug, and you can fix it runnung Nemesis, replacing txt from engine to meshes and rerunning again

xzagorx1 commented 4 years ago

I have the same problem. All animations working perfectly but there is no movement with power attack and dodges.

Meshes folder: animationdatasinglefile.txt animationsetdatasinglefile.txt nemesis_animationdatasinglefile.txt nemesis_animationsetdatasinglefile.txt

Based on what my testers have told me (apparently i couldn't replicate this), they said MO2 has this issue with the animationdatasinglefile.txt generated by Nemesis is being replaced by another mod with higher priority. It did not generate in overwrite, but instead sometimes it replaces one of the mod's animationdatasinglefile.txt. This is not Nemesis fault as I do not have control over the file management system

Still, trying my best to fix this, I came up with a workaround, having a staging folder. This allows you to redirect the output location to the staging folder instead of directly output in skyrim's data directory. This is just an idea that i hope it will work

No solution for this yet? I got same error. I deleted all animation mods still getting same error.

As of v.84 it looks like it's doing this with any file generated that also exists in a MO2 mod folder. Check file update time in your various behavior mods under the meshes folder to see if they coincide with the last run of Nemesis. Not clear on whether this is just a quirk of MO2, since FNIS was more integrated and may have had workarounds for this kind of issue on MO2 side.

DarkDragon777 commented 3 years ago

I think I found a solution for this issue...

I was having this same problem with Ultimate Combat and CGO installed, and I wasn't sure how to fix, but now I have an idea that helped me (NOTE: execute order 66... ehem... execute Mod Organizer as admin before you do anything).

  1. In Mod Organizer, just create an empty mod called "Nemesis Overwrite Output" or just "Nemesis Output" (I suggest you to name it as Nemesis Output), but be sure this will be your output file for Nemesis and its enabled or ser as an active mod on Mod Organizer. If the file is set as missing data, left clic on the file and just set "ignore missing data".
  2. In Mod Organizer, clic on your .exe (programs to run), and clic on "edit".
  3. Once your windows shows up, you'll look for Nemesis, and then, you'll see an option called "Create Files in Mod instead Overwrite", there you'll enable it and then you'll search in the option at the right for your created empty mod, and then, clic on apply, and finally clic on ok.
  4. Once you have configured your output file, execute Nemesis.
  5. In Nemesis, just update your engine as normal, then, launch nemesis, and once it has finished its work, close the window. If you get an error like "error 1210" or something like that... don't worry, it's okay, just close the window.
  6. Open your created mod on Windows Explorer by left clic on the mod, and then, right clic on "Open in Explorer"
  7. The next Window will show you everything from the created files by Nemesis, but you'll find no animationdatasinglefile.txt and no animationsetdatasinglefile.txt files on Meshes, this is because Nemesis failed to generate those files, and overrided those files from another mod instead, what you have to do is very simple... just copy those files from Nemesis_Engine/temp_behaviors to meshes.
  8. Execute Nemesis, and do your normal engine updating and launching, this time Nemesis will override the animation.txt files you pasted from temp_behaviors to meshes, and will make a complete process.
  9. Execute Skyrim, test and play.

I did this with Ultimate Combat and CGO (with just the CGO patch enabled since I don't use UC/TK dodge, and instead I use CGO dodge for NPCs and myself), and this solved my problems. Be sure that your mods aren't being overrited by another mod with animation.txt files or things like that.

I hope this could solve some folks problemd with movement issues with Nemesis. Remember: Nemesis is the future, and FNIS is the past (don't use both together or someone will stole your sweet roll). Respect traditions, embrace the future.

DarkDragon777 commented 3 years ago

I did tested it more time: when I have the Ultimate Combat/TK Dodge patch enabled, sometimes it works, and sometimes doesn't work. I've executed Nemesis engine with CGO only, and it works without problems, but, when I try to install TK Dodge, I have this movement issues again.

I think that many people here switched to Nemesis because the behavior patchibg, but this problem with UC/TK patch (that happens 50/50) is very anoying, and the UC/TK patch should be fixed in a new update.

RiggyRaggy commented 3 years ago

I tried the solution above but just got a 6002 error saying ERROR(6002): An exception has occured while patching. Report to Nemesis' author immediately File: Alternate Animation Message: copy_file: Access is denied.: "Papyrus Compiler\backup scripts\Dawnguard", "Papyrus Compiler\scripts\Dawnguard" I know this is an older thread but I never found a solution to what I'm calling "The TUDMR Problem"

dualdragoon commented 2 years ago

I also have this issue but with the Dodge - MCO mod from the author of SkySA. The thing is movement from other animations does work. Like power attacks. I've tried all of the suggested things and it's still an issue. I don't get any errors while running Nemesis though and it finishes with no issues.
