Cannot find module 'chalk' #3

On CentOS 7.6 completed:

  1. sudo yum install git nodejs tcpdump -y
  2. git clone https://github.com/Shmakov/Honeypot.git
  3. cd Honeypot/ && npm install
  4. sudo node app.js (error thrown after sudo node app.js)

Error: Cannot find module 'chalk' at Function.Module._resolveFilename (module.js:476:15) at Function.Module._load (module.js:424:25) at Module.require (module.js:504:17) at require (internal/module.js:20:19) at Object. (/home/dcar_devops/Honeypot/app.js:3:15) at Module._compile (module.js:577:32) at Object.Module._extensions..js (module.js:586:10) at Module.load (module.js:494:32) at tryModuleLoad (module.js:453:12) at Function.Module._load (module.js:445:3)

Which node version do you have? Are you sure the npm install part finished successfully? Do you have a node_modules/ directory created?

node.js version v6.16.0 npm install completed successfully node_modules/ directory was created

Sorry @dcarlton-devops, I couldn't reproduce the issue. I just followed the installation instructions on the freshly installed CentOS 7 and everything went well.

What is the output of npm list | grep chalk?

Did you try to manually install chalk? E.g. like that: npm install chalk
