can much easier and more hassle be done by being able to export jpgs and nfo/xml files that support MediaBrowser. also thetvdb season support for both folders and filenames.
that way we dont need a hole UI for MB and also spliting up the project even more. with just an way to export metadata files that is supported by MB3 you will also add better support for Plex and Kodi (XBMC) and many others that we dont have support for right now.
Metadata server support have also been talked alot about here: https://github.com/japanesemediamanager/jmmclient/issues/83 https://github.com/japanesemediamanager/jmmclient/issues/84 https://github.com/japanesemediamanager/jmmclient/issues/85 https://github.com/japanesemediamanager/jmmclient/issues/86
Right now MB3 doesnt support absolute numbering well
See here http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/13284-anime-plugin-integrating-absolute-numbering/
well that is true i guess. the metadata NFO files that MB3 writeout does contain absolute number data that is pulled from thetvdb. it just have to use it right. but that isnt an issue with JMM but an issue with MB3 as how they handle their files on a per season basis over the absolute number (which is how it should be done as sometimes specials or episodes from other seasons might be placed wrongly in the season structure.)
i personally are not using MB3 from streaming and such, just for local metadata saves and management as JMM does not support that ATM.
also Plex support absolute numbering if you download the plugin for it :D https://forums.plex.tv/index.php/topic/33006-absolute-order-tvdb-agent/
made a comment about their issues and such over there, all they need to do is just use the absolute number over the normal way and everything will be set really..... untill someone has a naming mistake (the OP on that post had his folders managed wrongly according to thetvdb standards where MB3 pulls from)
Support for Emby is something that we will not be adding ourselves, this doesn't mean we don't want to see it supported but adding another plugin that requires us to support and maintain it is beyond the scope of the project at the moment.
Similar to Nakamori, we'll provide support if another developer wants to create the plugin.
In Mediabrowser 3 there is currently a plugin for Anime and it works great overall but JMM offers lots when it comes to anime and maybe could maybe enhance the current Anime plugin or replace it :)
