Graphical Progress Bars Summary for Series/Collections

Hello! Can you add a new feature: Graphical Progress Bars for each Series or/and Collection

Like this:

Example: Collection is "Anime 2014 Fall" and each line is a serie

you need to let the picture to be fully uploaded before you post your issue/comments.

a bar or something that is hosted over the cover would be great IMO.

here is how plex does it with a line at a bottom:

plex also has a dot when its unwatched and a half dot when you have started on it.

and here is how comicrack does it with a small bookmark tag that moves down as far you have read % wise (the orange one)

ofc this can also be done to the hole series and not episode wise... then again you need to get JMM do know the difference between normal episode and good content and needless specials. should specials and such count to such a bar? should it not? thats really a question now isnt it?

I find how to add image with URL :o) I don't know Plex... what it is? I use JMM Server/Desktop But yeah its what i want: graphical progress bar, but for a serie or for a whole "Collection" I want a "Summary" (not sure of english word) for a collection

you can link a picture with the hole url pasted into the comment or you can just drag and drop the picture and it will be uploaded to the github site and will be displayed like i did just now.

Plex is a Media server that JMM also got a plugin for. its not a flawless plugin, but it works great for some people. i would try it if i where you.... sadly does not work at the quality i want it too tho :cactus:

i love plex not just for anime but for everything in movies and series. i can stream it to my smart tv, my ipad, my phone or any PC i want. even across the planet online if i wish. i can share my hole library with movies and series with friends aswell..... if your bandwidth is up for it that is :D

Plex currently, do not have support for scrobble/unscrobble (Mark as Seen, Mark as unseen) or date mark (Resume/Continue) videos on channels plugins (like JMM).

Also, the only way doable,on plex, is painting over the graphics, and send the graphics to Plex pre-painted, since all the TV/Movie functionality and Graphics Layout belongs to Plex and is not open to the public..

understandable. but i think he meant the JMM desktop app and not the plex plugin. i for one dont really care about the plugin as it never really worked for me. going to update about the issues within the hour on that branch.

since he never heard about plex then he is just using standard JMM with the JMM desktop. something similar like that bar is wanted tho. atleast i would think it will be a nice addition to the program.

JMM supports trakt.tv user data and will sync up with your own profile. it will keep track of what you have watched and what you have collected. it keeps a % of what i have collected and whats out and what i have watched of my collection aswell. like this:

im guessing this is something you want. but also support per Anime season basis.

BTW: if you didnt know, the ShanaProject supports a great overview of the Anime series of the Season. http://www.shanaproject.com/season/list/?sort=date most animes that is released is there (and if there is one that isnt there, just comment to the admin of the site, he is really nice about that sort of things)

Sorry i don't understand all (argh english...) but i see that:

1) Plex is for iPad... i have only a PC with Windows 7... 2) Is it possible to have "Summary Progress Bars" in plex? 3) If i say "watched" in Plex did it synchronize in JMM Server?

1: plex is for almost anything not just ipads...... you can use plex on your PC aswell as i stated black on white.

2: plex does just do these watch progress bars on a per episode basis and not hole season/series

3: both Plex and JMM support Trakt.tv syncs, you can set a series to watched in plex and then sync JMM to trakt. that way you can watch and contiue to watch where ever you want. ofc plex isnt really suited for anime, unless the plugin works great for you.

4: and no, shanaproject has nothing to do with JMM (yet) its just a RSS feed for torrents, but its also a good way to see whats in this season of anime releases and what you have downloaded and not. JMM does not really compensate for series in the seasons unless you have atleast one episode of the series. it does not really show you what series you dont have in a good way.

and there isnt really alot of software. its just JMM that manages your anime, it can sync up with your AniDB, MAL or Trakt accounts as you use JMM with no hassle.

plex in the other hand is a media server that works on streaming content across many devices (a small look at their homepage tells you that) this is something JMM can not do, with JMM im limited to streaming PC to PC in my LAN network, with plex there is no limites, and it supports alot more devices.

using trakt for those bars are quick and easy from within JMM aswell as you have links directly from inside the series of JMM to the trakt page. simple and easy.

ofc something like the progress bar could be cool to have inside of JMM itself aswell as i have already said.

EDIT: ofc to note, if you are only watching anime on your PC and no other PC or device (like ipad or phone or whatever) then you really dont have a need for plex at all, unless you like tvshows and love to sync your watch status on trakt like i do :D
