TextExpander support disabled when Query View's opened #1058

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open Sequel Pro
2. Open TextExpander
3. Connect to a database
4. In query view, try to expand a snippet - TextExpander will report "Expansion
disabled (Sequel Pro)" or "Expansion disabled (Unknown Application)"

What is the expected output?
The query window filling up with the expanded snippet.

What do you see instead?
Text expansion disabled (until switching several applications, or quitting
Sequel Pro)

What version of Sequel Pro are you using? What version of MySQL are you
connecting to on the server?
Sequel Pro Nightly Build 3306, MySQL 5.0.45 Community.

Please provide any additional information below.
I have read of this problem before with Firefox, and it's related to password
fields and Mac OS X (to prevent, in some sort, keystroke-recording programs via
Access to Assistive Devices). The problem was solved by Mozilla, by correcting
a bug with Firefox, so it's not TextExpander. Also, TextExpander was working
flawlessly until this update.

Hi Mario,

I'm not able to replicate this with TextExpander 3.3.0.1 (trial version only,
but that shouldn't make a difference) and either build 3306 or the latest
version. I've tried both the Custom Query view and an edit sheet, over normal
and SSH connections.

Is there any other pattern to the problem you can detect? Types of host,
selected databases, queries run, anything like that? Do you have your
passwords saved, or enter them each time, or do you get prompted for them?
