File -> Open Recent doesn't show recently opened files #1792

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Steps to reproduce the problem
1. File -> Open ~/my_query.sql
2. File -> Open Recent doesn't show any files

I expected that if I open a file containing a SQL script in the query tab, I
would thereafter see that file's name in the 'Open Recent' menu.

What do you see instead?

I'm using Sequel Pro 1.0.2 build 4096, Mountain Lion 10.8.4

using MySQL 5.5.26

Hi pwilkins,

That's been addressed in build 4122, which should be available for the
adventurous to test in the nightlies soon. Note that while I've added File >
Open files to the Open Recent menu, I haven't changed the behaviour for File >
Import'ed files - I figure those are far more likely to be one-offs...

Thanks for the report :)

Hi rowanb:
Thank you for the fix! This has been bugging me for quite a while and I wish I
had submitted a problem report sooner. :-)

I don't see a place to download nightlies on this code.google.com site. Are
nightly binaries made available periodically, or would I have to build the
sources myself to get it?

thanks again,
Peter

We make nightlies available at http://nightly.sequelpro.com - they'll offer
updates as new nightlies become available. While I (and many others) use the
nightlies, do be aware that they are much more untested than actual releases,
so there is a risk of data loss if we screw up...
