More themes and graphs #173

Open Zyles opened 11 years ago

Zyles commented 11 years ago

I really would like to see more themes and graphs. Especially a dark theme and some colored graphs in various forms. Bar, pie, funnel, lines etc.

More specifically I would for example have two lines with previous years revenue and this years revenue on the same graph and compare it as the year goes by.

However I lack the ability to create such graphs. But I can bring good looking themes and color combinations if needed. It would be much easier if there were loads of graphs examples you could just copy and re-style.

davefp commented 11 years ago

I'd love to see more themes. If you want to create one go ahead, and I can create a page on the wiki for third-party themes similar to the widget one that we can kick off with your submission.

thenayr commented 11 years ago

We have a heavily customized theme at my company along with extra graphs and experimental leap motion support. I imagine we will be open source most of this in the relatively near future.

davefp commented 11 years ago

@thenayr Excellent! I look forward to seeing it :)

@thenayr wow, that's badass. I love the Leap Motion integration!

pushmatrix commented 11 years ago

@thenayr WHOA THAT'S AMAZING.

pushmatrix commented 11 years ago

I am trying to think of a good theming system for Dashing :)

@thenayr: Did you guys implement the ability to swipe between dashboards, or is that functionality of the tv browser switching tabs?

thenayr commented 11 years ago

@pushmatrix I've now fully implemented the ability to have multiple dashboards on one page. There is no switching of tabs or reloading pages.

I'll post a new video soon.

EDIT

New video here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMM2rPX2Rok

There are numbers on the top of the dashboard to show the user context as to which dashboard they are currently on.

awesome work

addamh commented 11 years ago

@thenayr cant wait to see your modifications. especially having multiple dashboards on one page. was about to open an issue just for brainstorming ideas for that

thenayr commented 11 years ago

@addamh I'll probably start just by posting individual code pieces to show how it was done, it's nowhere near as robust as I'd like it to be at the moment, but performs great for our use-case at the moment.

tiefenb commented 11 years ago

@thenayr there are any news about leap motion integration for dashing?

bstephenf commented 11 years ago

@thenayr - I am going to be using Leap Motion at our company soon. If you have any advice, please let me know. :)

heratech commented 10 years ago

@thenayr any news on the leap motion code? Looks amazing. Thanks for sharing the videos.

zuzzyuk commented 10 years ago

@thenayr hi any chance you could share that leap code?

@thenayr @davefp I'm looking to write my own themes, but I can't help but think I'm reinventing the wheel by trying to work out what I should and shouldnt be changing. Any advice? I want to change the page background to add a watermark of the company logo, and change the background to all widgets to be one of four corporate colours. Thanks!

arronhunt commented 10 years ago

@tiefenb Any chance you're still planning on open sourcing your Leap Motion code? I'd love to try it out.

bstephenf commented 10 years ago

tiefenb commented 10 years ago
