Please make design references public #1255

Many issues and pull requests reference design documents (eg. Figma) available only to Shopify team members.

It would be great to be able to see the designs in issues and PRs so that you understand the feature better.

If making the figma files public is not an option, would it be possible to at least start adding screenshots in Pull Requests?

Same goes for the demo stores, they are usually password protected.

I'm just starting to use Dawn for my store so I really like to follow the development here but this is making it unnecessarily hard.

Anyway, thanks for all your hard work. I really appreciate it. Can't wait to launch my updated store 😊

Thanks for the feedback! We’ll consider adding supportive visuals when we see fit. Unfortunately we can’t share our internal links, but here are steps you can follow to test a branch locally to see the progress of our work from a pull request. If you are familiar with Github and the Shopify CLI, you can view the PR locally by using the Shopify CLI. You can follow the steps in our README to get started. If you’d rather not install the Shopify CLI, you can upload a zip of the theme to your shop instead. You can get the branch zip by going to github.com/Shopify/dawn and selecting the branch you’d like to preview > Code > Download zip. You can then upload the zip to your Shopify store.
