[Request] Color background metafield #1910

Hi,

This is not Dawn specific but more a feature request to the platform: as of today, we have color metafields, but we have no way to create gradient bound by metafield. We have a new theme relying on gradient a lot (and Dawn have many gradient setting as well) but, as of today, we are forced to create a completely new template to just change a gradient. Being able to create gradient metafield would help a lot to allow to take advantage of those and create per-product "gradient background" much more easily.

You mean, the ability to create a gradient metafield that is compatible with the gradient color picker in the theme customizer.

Exactly. This is currently the only basic setting that is not connectable to any metafield type.
