Product page and cart page feature suggestions #413

I have been testing out the new Dawn Shopify 2.0 theme for one of my clients storefront but came across a few road blocks that I wanted to share as suggestions for feature updates.

Request #1: Allow product page images to show as thumbnails or as a slider rather than full images stacked on top of one another. I understand for some stores that layout might look good but my client really prefers the main image to be large with the secondary images shown as thumbnails below it which the customer can click through.

Request #2: Allow for custom product options selected on the product page to appear on the cart page and to be pushed through to the backend order page. This is a really big road block as my clients storefront offers many personalized products and if we can't push the customers personalized selections through the theme becomes useless. I spoke with the Infinite Options app help desk and they said that Shopify said they will not support this any time soon. I really hope that is not true and that you all will come up with a solution to make this happen in the Ajax cart.

Request #3: Allow for gift messages and discount codes to be added on the cart page. The current theme we use allows for this and I was really hoping the Dawn theme would as well. From what I can see the cart is very very plan in Dawn, which is disappointing. Please work on updating the cart page so it is more customizable/flexible.
