(BUG) One site stopped working yesterday, all other sites work fine #967

As of yesterday (2/3/22) at about 12:30 EST, one of our stores could no longer use any theme kit commands. This is across multiple developers in multiple locations around the US. No theme kit commands can be run on any theme on this particular Shopify Store. It's been working flawlessly for about a year and a half. When any theme command is run, it just sits there doing nothing. Here are some things I have tried. None of them have worked. After contacting Shopify Plus Support, they finally informed me that they no longer support Theme Kit and don't have the resources to support people that use it. Umm. What?

  1. Uninstalled/Reinstalled Theme Kit on my Mac
  2. Deleted/Re-Added an auth key from the Shopify Theme Kit Access App
  3. Duplicated our theme and tried to deploy to it
  4. Use a VPN in case it was a rate-limiting/blacklist issue, even though this doesn't make a lot of sense because all of our developers are seeing this same issue with this one particular Shopify store.
  5. Restarted my Mac
  6. Waited overnight in case it was a server-side rate-limit or blacklist issue
  7. Run all theme kit commands with --verbose flag. Nothing happens. The cursor goes to the next line and it just stays that way.
  8. Waited 30-mins for any command to run, nothing happens.

I have tried everything. Nothing works. The trouble is on our main site too. We even pushed the same theme to another one of our Shopify Stores using Theme Kit and it works just fine. The only issues are related to this one particular store.

We are running Theme Kit v1.3.0.

FYI, if this happens to anybody else, after 5 days of Shopify Plus Support telling me they no longer support Theme Kit, and after I told them 5 days ago I believed it was a rate-limiter issue on their end, they confirmed today our store was indeed blacklisted/rate-limited and they fixed it on their end so it works now. So if this happens to you, push Shopify Support and make sure they know it's most likely a rate-limit issue on their end. Definitely a very frustrating and slow experience all-around.
