Hopefully spike can add this fix to the QSS dev build soon.
Is this referring to the screen flashing a solid color instead of a translucent one, thus leaving the player blinded? I'm having the same issue.
This is exactly what I'm experiencing as well. On ad_tears jumping in the water triggers it and totally fills up the screen with yellow until you get out of the water.
I reported the issue to QS, but it also applies to QSS as well.
