Works for me. Windown 64bit binary on win10. For some reason this mod refuses to cycle HUDs with impulse 178. custom HUDS not supported, this works with vkQuake though.
I'm on 8.1 not 10, same binary, nvidia graphics. Not sure what the difference is or if I should try to compile it myself.
I have the same issue, but when I set r_shadows 1 (Peril Quake).
So does it work with shadows disabled? I think I have those on.
When I was playing Peril Quake, everything was fine with the shadows turned off. When I activated them and picked up a weapon, almost everything became transparent, and I couldn't see the menu. I tried to deactivate it, but it only made the situation worse. I had to restart Quake and check if r_shadows was set to 0. After turning it off, I didn't see anything unusual.
I tried again with the new version, typed r_shadows 0 in the console while the bug was happening and then everything else disappeared.
If you mean that some other things disappeared: then you are in the same case as me, I suppose. Did you restart after setting r_shadows 0? (close qss and reopen it and also check that r_shadows is at 0)
Yea, we have the same bug. I didn't restart. I like having shadows. I can try putting in one of the configs so it starts with 0. Need to take a photo of it or a screenshot, maybe it would show it.
I updated to the nov 2023 release and tried to play https://www.quaddicted.com/reviews/tcj_r3.html
All walls are transparent and can't see menus after the level loads. Going back to 2021 version helped.
Wish there were some more older binaries to test against. If you update without backing up, it's curtains.
