Lightning gun new model doesn't display after firing any other weapon #74

I just tried out the 13th Sept 2021 version of QuakeSpasm Spiked (64-bit) with the game files from the remaster, and turned on the new models. As part of testing that it was all up and running correctly, I started a new game and used impulse 9 to give myself all the weapons. Scrolling through them it all seemed fine, but I noticed that if I fire any weapon and then switch to the lightning gun, no weapon model is visible at all, until you fire it. This doesn't happen when using the original models.#

Edit: Further testing shows that it happens when firing all guns except for the nailgun and super nailgun. When those are fired and then the weapon switched to the lightning gun, it shows up fine, but firing any other weapons causes the lightning gun to disappear until you fire it.

I have the same problem. Moreover, this happens only with the MD5 model. If you use the same lightning gun model in MDL format, then everything works fine. The lightning gun also does not appear on the screen when it is first taken.
