How do you plan to handle untrusted SSL-Certificates? This topic bothers me
too, developing the Sencha UI.

I am not sure how are you going to deal with them, but in iOS, like in Mac OS
X, you have a keychain and you are able to deal with certificates, adding them
in that keychain and changing the default trust.
I have never tried to do it in an iOS app but It seems not a difficult issue.

I thought "openHAB App" is the openHAB web app, but it seems this is regarding
the iPhone App. I'm sorry about this misunderstanding.
The problem for the Sencha UI (and any web-based UI) is that this is completely
up to the browser. The app can't do anything about it. That's why I asked about
the plans for handling with the untrusted SSL, thinking this issue is about the
openHAB webapp.

I have changed the title to make clear what UI this is about.
To answer for the web app: Yes, untrusted certificates are a problem. I have
solved this for myself by importing my own root CA certificate to my iPhone
through a profile using the iPhone Configuration Utility.
